MMEC 2026 Returns to Maputo to Accelerate LNG, Mining and Clean Energy Investment

Maputo, Mozambique — 6–7 May 2026 — The Mozambique Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition (MMEC) the country’s most established premier platform for mining, oil & gas and energy will return to the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre under the theme “Mozambique: Open for Business – Unlocking Natural Resources for Industrialisation, Diversification, and Inclusive Growth.”

Building on the momentum of last year’s edition, which convened more than 600 participants from over 25 countries with 70+ speakers and 30+ exhibitors, MMEC 2026 will deepen collaboration among policymakers, SOEs and private sector leaders to move projects and partnerships from discussion to deal‑making and execution reflecting Mozambique’s evolving energy landscape — particularly the transition from project sanctioning to full-scale industrialisation.

The conference will highlight national achievements such as the Final Investment Decision (FID) for Coral North FLNG, the resumption of the Rovuma LNG Project, and the refinery and downstream initiatives led by Petromoc and its partners, while positioning Mozambique as a regional hub for energy transformation, local content, and sustainable industrial growth.
