The LinKar Program, funded by the African Development Bank and executed by the Mozambique’s national oil company ENH, is responsible for maximizing local value and job creation through the expansion of SME business and contracting opportunities derived directly from the evolving oil & gas value chain as well as from associated infrastructure investments required to enable broader economic growth ambitions from the gas developments. It is expected that the enhancement of the involvement of Mozambican SMEs, with a particular emphasis on women and youth led SMEs, will drive private sector development, increase competitiveness, enhance supply chain effectiveness, and promote sustainable skilled employment in Mozambique. The added values of these will further improve economic benefits resulting from Mozambique’s upstream natural gas developments.
